Summary:
In alignment with KRESA’s core values and commitment to continuous improvement, the Application Specialist specializes in the use and support of user applications used by KRESA’s Human Resources Department and Business Office and KRESA employees to collect, manage and report employee data. Application specialties include Power School (PS), Unified Talent (UT), and TimeClock Plus (TCP) applications knowledge and abilities in maintaining, exporting, filtering, importing, and reporting information. Supports the employee interface with HR and Business Office applications to ensure a user friendly and efficient experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with users to identify and implement system improvements and/or oversee projects that streamline HR and BO processes.
- Maintain data in the employee systems including PS ERP, UT (Records, Perform and Applicant Tracking), Cognos. Also responsible for managing employee time and attendance, PTO and leave tracking in TCP.
- Serve as knowledge expert in HR and BO data and respond to requests for information by creating and delivering custom reports in Cognos and other systems.
- Complete new employee setup and changes in various applications striving for accuracy and efficiency.
- Support annual employee contract renewal process, ensuring calendars and salary schedules are updated and accurate in the various systems.
- Design and facilitate systems-related training including documentation for end users throughout the agency.
- Continuously audit and improve data quality and integrity.
- Work with HR and BO team members to develop unified data practices, procedures, and protocols.
- Deliver technical support for system issues in a timely fashion. Track and follow up on help desk tickets submitted to systems vendors to ensure agreeable resolution.
- Respond to industry-specific and regional compensation surveys to ensure the agency has access to current market compensation data.
- Prepare and submit annual EEO-5 and biannual demographic report for the agency and support ABAR work with needed demographic data.
- Keep up-to-date professionally with state and regional updates and training.
- Regular and consistent attendance.

Education and/or Experience:
Associates degree plus one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have previous HRIS experience, preferably in PowerSchool ERP and/or Unified Talent applications. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel also required.
